Spanish

Americans are studying Spanish in record numbers. 

Why is it important to learn Spanish? 

Almost 500 million people worldwide speak Spanish! Spanish is the second most widely spoken language after English, and the third most commonly spoken language in the world. Spanish is spoken in more than 21 Countries making it the ideal foreign language for a child to learn. 

The Spanish-speaking population is expanding in the USA and learning Spanish will give your child important practical knowledge for their personal and professional lives.

Latin
Latin is NOT a dead language.  Almost  60% of all English words and an incredible 90% of words greater than two syllables are derived from Latin roots.

Additionally, approximately 10% of the Latin vocabulary has made it directly into English without any intermediate change. When your child learns Latin, they are learning English. Studying Latin can be viewed as an efficient means of to a better English vocabulary. There is also evidence that Latin will children score better on their SAT's.

 
Languages
French

Approximately 45% of English vocabulary comes from French. when you learn French, you also enhance your grammar and vocabulary skills in English.

French is one of the world's major international languages: it is spoken by over 200 million people in 43 countries, on five continents.
The French influence in art, music, dance, fashion, cuisine, and cinema makes French an important foreign language.

A knowledge of French can open doors to in higher education and with many international companies such as IBM, Microsoft, Mattel, Dow Chemical, AT&T, Motorola, and more.

Italian

A knowledge of Italian is important for people in business, the arts, technology and many professions.
Students preparing for the SATs who have studied Italian tend to score higher on vocabulary and grammar. 

Italian is also the language closest to English according to the Cambridge Encyclopedia of Language, 1987.
It is considered the easiest foreign language to read, write, and pronounce  and for young learners, the easier the language, the better.
