Principles of Art
Kindergarten through Grade 4
Students will be introduced to the basic art principles of:
Color, Line and Texture Space Form and Shape Repetition
Students will work with various art mediums including:
Tempra Paint Collage Crayons Papier-mâché Fabric

Grades 5 though 9
Students will be introduced to the basic art principles of:
Symmetry and Balance Color and Value Line and Texture Space Form and Shape Repetition Proportion and Perspective
Students will work with various art mediums including:
Collage Pencil Colored Pencils Gel Pens Watercolor Papier-mâché Wire

Art History
Middle and high school students will be introduced to art history and the way in which the various pieces reflect the social and/or political view of their time. The works of the great masters will be used to reinforce basic art principles for all grade levels.
